Hi Varx,
Thanks so much for your reply.
It's somewhat semantics.... what's in a name.
The name "Pack" is in itself, a classification, or a name for a group of cards. But it does carry or imply the
highest level of classification.
My thinking was that users want the ability to further classify, for purposes of study. The most common examples are:
- A classification for each chapter in a book - say a language book, but really any text book
- A classification for each anatomical system for medical students
- A classification for word types (nouns, verbs, adj) for language study cards - this shows the relational aspect. A card in Chapter 1 is a noun, but so is a card in Chapter 5. A single card can belong to MORE than ONE category or classification
I don't see how could they filter and review ONLY "Chapter 1" ... or filter on some other
lower level classification, meaning NOT the entire pack of cards....WITHOUT the ability to label each card as to what the classification is.
YIKES!!! I don't intend, and hope I don't have to, create a SEPARATE pack of cards for each chapter in my Chinese language study book.
You don't have a separate Gmail account for each folder or label you have?
So yes... I am asking for the ability to label each card with a category that is a lower level classification than the entire pack. It would take some DB redesign to get the relationships correct. Also...once a label or lower level classification is created, make it available for 'selection' when new cards are being added manually.
Thanks Again for Your Ear!!
