Hey s0me0ne,

A lot a great ideas thanks. Especially the 'iterative known' idea. I;ve been tossing around an automated study system for a while but the main problem is the display. I have so much information in such a small space already that I don't want to clutter it. Perhaps if the longpress brought up a dialog for "move up" or "move down" it could save space.

Also, the 'List View' option in the menu is kind of like a slider. It lets you slide through the pack and even search for phrases. I will play with the idea of a small slider on the bottom though. It looks like I might be able to barely fit one in landscape mode.

I'm also working on 'AJAX'-ifying the website and incorporating as many jQuery UI widgets as possible. It should help make the website a lot easier to use.

Thanks and keep the good idea's coming,

Thanks for feedback Smiley

How about no buttons at all, and instead of an option to "shuffle" a pack, lets show up cards in random order. The more often they are set to known, the less often they show up. Once they are not corretly answered they are set back to zero - which means: shown often again.

Another idea of saving space and having some more options is to use a special region of the card for flipping to back side only (maybe a dog-ear shows that the card has another side, that region is for flipping).
The rest of the body could be used in various ways, like watermark symbols that are fairly visible (green thumb up for known, red thumb down for not known) but remind that there is something to do when pressing that region. Once pressed the watermark becomes highlighted an the choice is made.

third idea: sliding cards up: means i knew it, sliding it down, get back one step.

fourth idea: the buttons green / red automatically are added to the back side of each card. Either on top or at the end of the card right after / before the card text.

Glad my ideas are appreciated Smiley

I know I just posted a new topic before reading this thread (opps), but again I agree that text and pic on same side of the card would make this app perfect in my opinion Wink

A feature to merge two or more packs into one single one would be great to have.
Maybe a feature to split packs too.

Hi,
I love this app, I use it everyday for my job training (911 operator) and I could really, really use an option to start the pack over again, instead of having to swipe all the way back to the first card. I have lots of cards per pack and it becomes a bit of a pain to get back to the beginning.
Love the app, good work Smiley

Hey Everyone,

Just started using Study Droid for my Japanese class and I really love it.

The biggest feature I'd like to see added would be a way to study more than one pack at a time.

I use the app for my vocabulary and it would be super helpfull if I could load in 3 or 4 lessons at a time and study all the vocab at once.

Great app,

Hi,

I really like Study Droid and use it everyday!!
Just to make it even better I suggest:
1) to get to be able to make the font size bigger
2) in the menu in the net, where you put in new vocabularies, I cannot switch between the to frames with the tab-button
3) the social network menu in the same window too often pops up, even thought I didn't want it to.

I looking forward to studying with Study Droid, thank you for you great work!!

Along with fixing the HTML problems (posted under another category), I'd like to see the following if possible:

1. Tabbing from front of card to back of card on the site.
2. Folder list on phone
3. I know you said the last update solved syncing problem, but I don't think it did. If you make changes to cards on the phone and then sync, the changes don't sync and it changes have to be made to the cards using the phone again. One could use the site to make the changes but (1) some things don't sync properly (i.e., font color) and (2) sometimes I can't remember the changes I made because too much time had elapsed till I am able to get to a computer to make the changes.

Other than that, and aside from these changes, great job! Thanks so much for offering this app. I like it much more than any of the other ones I've seen out there.

Thanks,
JP

PS....I know that when you get to making changes it takes a lot of your time. I for one would like to say that I'd be more than willing to pay for this app if you devoted more time to updating it. I'm sure you're a busy person and have better things to do, but it seems as if you've given up on the app.

I would like a way to get from the end of the deck back to the beginning.  Under menu it would be easy enough to add a "Beginning" button.  Or I would be happy enough with a continuous deck that after the last card goes straight back to the first one, using the same swipe feature.  I selected "other" in the vote because this is pretty important to me.  However extra sensitivity would be very welcome, and then other colors would be nice but not necessary.
